June 1, 2025 with Košice Steel Arena transforms into a place full of joy, laughter and endless fun. Pilot year EMPIRE KIDFEST on International Children’s Day, prepares a spectacular celebration for the little ones. The biggest children’s idols make eyes light up and hearts flutter, but visitors can also look forward to bouncy castles and various attractions. “All-day music program, colorful face painting will transform small visitors into princesses, superheroes or their favorite animals. Playful balloons and cheerful surprises conjure up an even more magical day. We tried to create a celebration that children of different ages would enjoy. Creative workshops, games and competitions for various prizes and rewards will be prepared. We also think of parents who can relax in the relaxation zones while their children go crazy and have fun.” organizer Dávid Zbojek explains what the little ones and adults can look forward to.

Children’s Day without Mir Jaroš? Not by chance! The popular children’s performer will make whole families dance not only with his five-times platinum album Disko from last year, but also with his musical sequel – Ešte večej Disko – with seven new songs or remixes of Miro’s most popular singles. Beloved hits such as Ice Cream, Tancuj!, Tarzan, Pizza Dance and the titular Disko will certainly not be missing. “It’s absolutely wonderful when concerts and events are organized for children to have fun and frolic. It’s great that such a holiday is on the calendar. I feel like an eternal child and on this day my inner child also comes alive. I remember my own MDD, when my father still worked in a company that organized events every year. We played sports there, received packages… I really liked it. I believe that with our performance we will also make this day pleasant for the children and their parents, because even in adults there is a hidden child that they once were.” says Miro Jaroš.
An ice kingdom that won’t melt in the summer?
Frozen, a globally successful fairy tale from Disney, has its Slovak version. The voices known from the fairy-tale hit will also visit Košice. Elsa (Andrea Somorovská), Anna (Mirka Gális Partlová), Olaf (Majo Labuda Jr.) and Kristoff (Dávid Árva) will delight visitors at EMPIRE KIDFEST 2025 with a musical performance of the most famous songs from the show Slovak Ice Kingdom 1 and 2. It will definitely not be missed the Slovak version of the Oscar-winning song Von to dam, but Summer, Time will not change anything, Zablúdený, or extremely popular, First time in forever, but there will be many more!
Even fairy-tale heroes like Children’s Day
“MDD has meant a lot to me since I was a child. I celebrate this holiday because when I was a child I was looking forward to presents and since I have been an actor I have been doing fairy tales so I act on this day. Now we have the Slovak Ice Kingdom. I will look forward to playing for the children. I’ll be a little warm, since my costume is very hot, but that’s okay.” is looking forward to Majo Labuda Jr., who portrays the popular, somewhat confused, but kind-hearted snowman Olaf.
Although Queen Elsa may seem to avoid people at first because of her powers, Andrea Somorovská can’t wait to become the Ice Queen: “I love MDD because I like children and since I have three, I enjoy it to the fullest with them. I look forward to making others happy. “Fairy tale Anna, that is Mirka Gális Partlová, will treat her child to a day when the answer to everything is YES! “This day is in the hands of our youngest, but it can be lived once a year. Even the smallest ones want to be grown-ups, why not indulge them for one day?” he says.
A little mouse is lost!
Spievankovo takes the children on a rescue mission with Fox da Vinci on his special flying machine made of recycled material. In addition to the other Spievank characters, small visitors to EMPIRE KIDFEST 2025 will also help. They will sing, dance and learn with Spievanka and Zahraja how important it is to take care of our planet, recycle, upcycle or save energy. And the mouse will eventually be found!
