The 17-year-old Palmeiras striker, Estêvão Willian, is one of the five under-20 athletes with the most minutes on the field in the world in 2024. The survey, carried out by the International Center for Sports Studies (Cies), also includes 10 other Brazilians in the total list.
The list has 100 athletes up to 20 years old with different nationalities. In fourth place, the top scorer in the Brazilian Championship appears, having played 2,438 minutes for Palmeiras this season. Pau Cubarsí (Barcelona) leads the list with 3,883 minutes. Kobbie Mainoo (Manchester United) occupies second place, with 3,183 minutes.
The other best-placed Brazilian is midfielder Breno Bidon, from Corinthians. At 19 years old, the Timão player occupies 10th place, with 2,362 minutes on the field. With 11 names, the Brazilian Championship has the largest number of representatives, followed by Argentina, with eight. Another eight Brazilians appear on the list, see which ones:
