The Minister of Finance, , said that the spending cut package, announced on radio and TV this Wednesday (27), will be accompanied by the biggest income reform in the country’s history.
“Today we also announce the biggest income reform in our history. By honoring President Lula’s commitments to income reform, an important part of the middle class that earns up to 5 thousand reais per month will no longer pay income tax”, it says in the announcement.
The reform includes a proposal to create one per month.
Still in the video, the minister states that the measure that exempts this portion of the population will not have a fiscal impact, that is, it will not increase government spending.
