Wagenknecht’s alliance oscillates between opposing and governing

A new coalition is scheduled to come onto the market in Thuringia before Christmas: the so-called Blackberry Alliance, named of course after the colors of the three parties involved: CDU (black), Alliance Sahra Wagenknecht (BSW, purple) and SPD (red). A new chapter is also opening in Brandenburg. The SPD under Prime Minister Dietmar Woidke will soon form a coalition there with the BSW. Red and purple are teaming up, and this new constellation doesn’t yet have a name.
