Voters of the PAN, Bloco de Esquerda, Livre and Chega are those who least trust the Portuguese security forces.

A survey released today by , reveals that 37% of Chega voters have a low level of trust or very small in the PSP and GNR, even though the valorization of the police forces is one of the party’s banners.

Furthermore, 85% of these voters from André Ventura’s party consider that the police resources are insufficient.

In the case of the PANwhich is the party whose voters least trust the forces of authority, this percentage exceeds half of the electorate (exactly 50%).

Also 45% of BE voters and 43% of Livre voters They say they have a small or very small degree of trust in the PSP and GNR.

On the contrary, the CDU leads in the poll: only 26% of its voters say they do not trust the police. The Liberal Initiative (IL), the Democratic Alliance (AD) and the Socialist Party (PS), are just behind, with 27%, 28% e 30%respectively, of voters to ensure that they do not have confidence in the police authorities.

But, regardless of the party where they cast their vote, 75% of Portuguese people say they consider the police forces insufficientand older people are those who most support this idea.

Men trust police forces more than women (rate of 67% compared to 62% for women). 44% of Portuguese people also argue that a reinforcement of agents on the outskirts of large urban centers.

Regarding the feeling of securitymost respondents (54%) say they feel safe during the day, and 27% say they feel very safe indeed. At night, the majority of Portuguese people do not feel safe — only 47% say they feel safe and 19% very safe.

The survey had 802 respondents and was carried out between the 13th and 19th of November this year.
