Do not use sharp scrapers or wire scrapers to clean stainless steel as they can scratch and damage the finish. Soft sponges or cloths are best suited for this purpose. Also avoid harsh chemicals as they can scratch or degrade the stainless steel. Homemade paste for cleaning steel sinks
On the market, you can find ready-made cleaning pastes for stainless steel sinks that effectively remove grease, limescale, calcium deposits and other stubborn dirt. Unfortunately, they very often contain harmful substances that can irritate the eyes or skin and even cause breathing problems. Before reaching for professional products, make a homemade paste for cleaning a steel sink. Since I started using it, I have forgotten about white spots from limescale or other stains. My sink always looks like new.
To clean a stainless steel sink, I mix baking soda with washing up liquid to make a thick slurry. Then, using a brush, I spread it evenly over the surface of the sink. Then I take half a lemon and rub the cleaned surface in circular motions. Finally, I remove the remains of the paste with a damp cloth and then wipe the sink dry. This will keep it clean and shiny. It pleases the eye with its flawless appearance and without the use of chemicals from the store.
