SÃO PAULO (Reuters) – The Ecorodovias group () this Thursday won the concession of 92 kilometers of highways that connect São Paulo to cities in the west of the metropolitan region of the State, brought together in the “Nova Raposo” project, in an auction organized by B3 .
The group offered a 47,117.67% premium on the minimum grant value of 4.6 million reais, equivalent to 2.19 billion reais. As a result, it took a 30-year contract to manage busy stretches of highways that are currently under the management of Via Oeste, a CCR concessionaire (), until the beginning of 2025.
In addition to Ecorodovias, transport infrastructure concession groups CCR, EPR and Via Appia participated in the auction.

The investment obligation throughout the Nova Raposo contract, which also includes roads managed by the State of São Paulo, is around 8 billion reais. The highways include the first kilometers of Raposo Tavares, connecting São Paulo to Cotia (SP), and Castello Branco, connecting São Paulo to Barueri (SP), as well as sections between the cities of Cotia and Embu.
According to CCR, the Castello-Raposo system is the main connection between the capital and the west of São Paulo, through which around 720 thousand vehicles pass daily.
CCR proposed a fixed grant of R$1.04 billion, while EPR’s offer was R$1.17 billion and Via Appia offered a fixed grant of R$477 million.

The auction took place about a month after CCR won the concession of the Rota Sorocabana highway system, also in the State of São Paulo, with an offer of 1.601 billion reais, committing to an investment of 8.8 billion reais throughout of the 30-year contract.
The event concludes a series of auctions held by the government of the State of São Paulo this year.
