Alex de Araújo Lopes, 24 years old, was the victim of an attempted murder with a knife on Thursday night (28). The crime took place on Edmundo Pinto Street, in the Santa Inês neighborhood, in the Second District of Rio Branco.
According to information from witnesses, Alex was on a public street when his brother started an argument. Upon seeing one of them with a knife in his hands, Alex tried to grab the object and break up the fight. At that moment, the brothers got into a physical fight and, when he tried to take the knife from one of them, Alex was struck in the head. In the fall, he even hit his head on the curb. After the confusion, those involved fled the scene.

The victim was rescued by family members, who called the police and an ambulance. A basic unit and another advanced support unit from the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu) were sent to provide first assistance. Alex was then taken to the emergency room in Rio Branco, in stable health.

Military police officers from the 2nd Battalion were also called and were at the scene. They gathered information about the suspects and carried out patrols in the area, but no one was located.

Civil Police agents from the Ready Employment Team (EPE) also collected the first information, and the case will be investigated by the Homicide and Personal Protection Police Station (DHPP).
