The governor of Acre, Gladson Cameli, delivered this Thursday (28) 49 new vehicles to the state’s Civil Police, in addition to a bus destined for the Women’s Secretariat (Semulher).
The event took place in front of Palácio Rio Branco, in the center of the capital, and also marked the signing of work orders for the renovation of important public security buildings.
During the ceremony, Cameli highlighted the relevance of the investments, which total R$1 million from federal parliamentary amendments, with the support of federal deputy Coronel Ulysses and senator Mailza Assis.
“Protect people, take care of lives and, at the same time, create working conditions for the entire public security system. Today, here, we are talking about two actions in partnership with our federal bench, with deputy Colonel Ulysses, who is the author of these resources”, said the governor.
In addition to the delivery of the vehicles, work orders were signed for the renovation of the building of the General Directorate of the Civil Police and the Quality of Life Center (Qualivida). These projects aim to improve the infrastructure and service provided to the institution’s employees, with investments of R$500,000 in each unit.
The governor also highlighted the importance of modernizing public security services: “We have the actions of both the Judiciary Police, which is our Civil Police, and the Women’s Secretariat, with more than almost 50 vehicles and another bus to better serve the public. our population”, he added.
The delivery of the vehicles and the investments reflect the state government’s commitment to strengthening the public security system and meeting the needs of institutions that work directly to protect society.
