The governor of Pará, Helder Barbalho (), delivered this Thursday (28) to the president () the “COP30” ice cream, created by the state especially for the event, which will be held in Belém next year.
The ice cream was produced by the Pará ice cream company Cairu, with a mixture of Brazil nuts, pistachios and cupuaçu. At the meeting, Helder also took pots of açaí and tapioca ice cream to the president.
The governor met with Lula during a visit to Brasília for the 15th Governors’ Forum, where leaders meet to discuss issues of national impact.
COP30 is the thirtieth edition of the Climate Change Conference (), which will be held in the capital of Pará in November 2025.
According to estimates by FGV (Fundação Getúlio Vargas), around 40 thousand visitors are expected to go to Belém during the main days of the event. Of this total, approximately 7,000 make up the so-called “COP family”, made up of UN teams and delegations from member countries.
