Spathiphytes can be found in almost every home. Their care is not complicated, but you need to take care of a few things that will have a positive impact on the shape of the plant. One of them is providing the plant with valuable ingredients. We can do this by using something that we usually throw into the trash. We show you how to fertilize Spathiphyllum using home methods.
If we want our Spathiphyllum to develop well, we must take proper care of it. The basic issue is correct choice of location for the plant. Spathiphyllum grows best in a bright place, but not exposed to direct sunlight. Therefore, we should choose semi-shady or bright locations with diffused light.
Due to the fact that the Spathiphyllus neither likes dry soil nor stagnant water, we should water it moderately. A good way is to simply check the moisture of the substrate before reaching for the watering can. The top layer of soil should be slightly dry. Of course, during the period of intensive growth, i.e. spring and summer, the plant needs more frequent watering than during the winter.
It is also worth spraying the leaves with water from time to time, because Spathiphyllum likes increased air humidity. We should do this especially on warm days or when the air in the room is dry, for example during the heating season.
When it comes to replanting the Spathiphyllum, young plants require it every year. However, older plants should be replanted less frequently, every 2-3 years. For this treatment it is best to choose pots with a diameter approximately 2 cm larger than the previous container.

In addition, we can also use tea in other ways. One of the simplest methods is to mix the grounds with the top layer of the substrate. Thanks to this, all microelements will penetrate into the ground during watering. Moreover, this will improve the structure of the substrate.
Another idea for using tea to fertilize Spathiphyllum is to pour hot water over the grounds. Whole then cool, strain and dilute with water in a 1:2 ratio. In this way we obtain a product that should be used once every 3-4 weeks.
