The Amazonas Civil Police arrested on Wednesday (28), in the act, a man who had kept his wife in private prison since 2021.

The case took place in Boca do Acre, on the border of Amazonas and Acre. According to delegate Gustavo Kallil, from the 61st DIP, the investigations began after the police team received a message from the victim, claiming that he had been in private prison for three years.
“The team went to the scene and arrested the author in the act when he arrived home, accompanied by the victim, as she only left the residence with his supervision. When questioned, the woman confirmed the complaint she had made,” said the delegate.
The police reported that he had kept the victim at home since 2021, along with the couple’s five children, who confirmed the crime and said that they were also being abused by their father.
“One of the couple’s daughters, aged 17, reported that she was sexually abused by the man two years ago. Investigations will continue into the possible crime of rape of a vulnerable person against the teenager”, explained Kallil.
