Danzig (Gdansk) – Austria’s women’s national soccer team has suffered a setback on its way to participating in a European Championship for the third time in a row. The ÖFB team lost the first leg of the decisive second play-off round in Gdansk against Poland on Friday evening 0-1 after a poor performance. This means that captain Sarah Puntigam and Co. are doomed to win on Tuesday (6.15 p.m./live ORF1) in Vienna’s Generali Arena in order to secure their ticket to the 2025 finals in Switzerland.
