According to Enel’s latest bulletin published this Friday (29), around 27 thousand customers are still without electricity
On Thursday afternoon (28), it faced an intense storm that left more than 100,000 properties without access. The most affected areas were the south and west zones of the capital of São Paulo. With temperatures reaching 35°C, the sky quickly darkened around 4pm, announcing the arrival of the storm. Enel, the company responsible for energy supply, reported that its teams began working to restore the service at around 5:30 pm.
According to the latest bulletin published this Friday (29), 27,390 customers remain without electricity in Greater São Paulo, of which 19,085 were in the capital. This number represents just 0.34% of total customers and the situation was already stabilizing. The company had activated its operation plan in advance, mobilizing additional teams to address the problems caused by the storm. The Fire Department received 22 calls for falling trees, and around 30 flights were canceled at Congonhas Airport.
