The governor of São Paulo, Tarcísio de Freitas, meets this Friday (29) with President Lula at Palácio do Planalto, in Brasília, for an event to sign the BNDES (National Bank for Economic and Social Development) loan intended for to the works of the New PAC (Growth Acceleration Program).
The inclusion of São Paulo works in the federal government program was announced last year. BNDES will make resources available for the northern section of the Rodoanel and for the extension of metro line 2-green in the capital of São Paulo. On the other hand, Trem Intercidades has not yet received authorization from the Ministry of Finance to obtain loans.
According to the newspaper report Folha de São Paulothere was an agreement between the president of BNDES, Aloizio Mercadante, and the government of São Paulo, for the loans to be signed in a public ceremony. Which, given the intensification of the dispute in the municipal elections, has not happened until now.
