The Slovak National Party (SNS) calls on parliament member Samuel Migaľ (Hlas-SD) to reconsider his approach to the amendments to the sports laws and the Sports Support Fund. According to nationalists, Migaľ’s actions threaten the “historically” largest financial package for sports, 60 million euros. They also believe that the opposition parties will also join the support. TASR was informed about this by SNS spokeswoman Zuzana Škopcová.
The SNS reminds that these laws have gone through the regular legislative process and it regrets that in none of these phases did MP Migaľ submit an amendment proposal. “60 million euros can be in the Sports Support Fund for the repair of gymnasiums and sports fields every year. The actions of MP Migaľ from the Hlas-SD political party are a gross abuse of the political situation,” SNS claims.
