Parrot stolen from a marquee in Oeiras.
The PSP of Oeiras managed, after a month, to solve the mystery of a parrot stolen from a marquee, thanks to images published by the thief himself on social media.
The unusual case is told by what indicates that the parrot was stolen by a neighbor of the animal’s owner who lived in a ground floor in Queijasin the municipality of Oeiras (Lisbon).
The thief will have took advantage of a woman’s distraction to steal the parrot that roamed freely in the apartment’s awning. He ended up being framed by the images he placed in the social media next to the exotic bird, with the intention of selling it.
A PSP of Oeiras has already identified the suspect and returned the parrot to its owner, but has not accused him of any crime.
The bird is a gray parrot that could be worth more than a thousand eurosaccording to the PSP.
