Closed section in Bratislava on Botanicka Street towards Karlová Ves: Be careful in other parts of Slovakia too!

Due to the accident, the given section is closed and impassable in Bratislava on Botanicka Street, near the gas station, in the direction of Karlová Ves. Green wave STVR reported on this on its website. Drivers should also watch out for ice on the mountain pass (HP) Látky-Prašivá and Vrchslatina. The Slovak Road Administration (SSC) drew attention to this on its website zjazdnosť.sk.

SSC also draws attention to fog with visibility up to 50 to 100 meters, which occurs mainly in the northern half of Slovakia and the extreme southwest. Fog with visibility up to 100 meters is located in the vicinity of Čadka.

According to the SSC, all monitored highway sections and expressways on the territory of the Slovak Republic are passable, the surface of the roads is dry to wet.

Routes I., II. and III. the classes are passable, the surface of the roads is dry to damp, sometimes wet. “On the roads in the vicinity of the High Tatras, as well as on II/584 Srdiečko – Bystrá, II/578 Skalka – Kremnica and on Class III roads in the district of Trstená, there is sometimes slushy or compacted snow two to three centimeters thick,” explained the SSC.

HP are passable, the road surface is dry to wet. At HP Huty, there is slushy snow one centimeter thick in places.
