Cappelli held the position of executive secretary of the Ministry of Justice during the period in which Dino commanded the Ministry of Justice in the current government of Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. With Dino’s departure to the Supreme Court, he left the department at the beginning of this year. The current commander of the department, Ricardo Lewandowski, accepted the role of minister with carte blanche to form a team, which occurred.
