Checking if the establishment has the Anvisa certificate, looking for reviews on the internet and checking who the suppliers are are among the main tips
We all know that the market for handling money is growing, and along with this scenario comes the burning question: is it possible to trust? Yes! So much so that the market has undergone great evolution in recent times, as in the beginning, few pharmaceutical configurations were worked on, such as capsules, sachets, tablets and few active ingredients. “Over the years, more active ingredients have emerged, with new absorption technologies, with revolutionary nutraceuticals and cosmeceuticals that promote very effective treatments. Today, the company makes many pharmaceutical forms so that patients can adhere to the treatment that is exclusively formulated for them, one of the advantages most sought after by consumers”, explains Dr. Hérica Sanches, pharmacist and director of Atual Phyto.
According to the Federal Pharmacy Council (CFF), there are more than 298 thousand professionals and almost 90 thousand pharmacies and commercial drugstores in Brazil. As data from consultancy IQVIA shows, in 2021 alone, the sector generated more than R$88 billion, a growth of 14.21% compared to the previous year. Given this scenario, the first important tip when deciding who your supplier will be is to check whether the establishment you consult to make your formulations has an operating certificate from the National Health Surveillance Agency (), as the institution has strict rules for the handling of medications. The quality of professionals and raw materials are other points to be examined.
In the business for 22 years, the pharmaceutical company also reveals the second step in relation to the safety of the procedure: “As we do with any other service we are going to hire, I advise the consumer to look for information on social networks, evaluation on , suggestions from people close to them, information on the company website and to validate the suitability of the work offered. In addition, it is necessary to observe the structure and hygiene at the service location, as we go through rigorous inspection processes (maintenance, cleaning, pest control, water analysis, mandatory licenses, presence of a pharmacist on site for support, among others) and if it works in compliance with laws and regulations following RDC 67. The fifth step is to check whether the pharmacy has qualified suppliers who meet these standards”, he reveals.
Another important point to check concerns the delivery time of the product. “Usually the delivery time for formulas is between 2 and 3 days, depending on the complexity of the preparation and good pharmacies keep their stock up to date, always ready to serve their customers in the shortest time and with the best quality”, points out Sanches.
The seventh factor that should serve as a basis for evaluating the service is its valuation. “Nowadays, the value of the manipulated product is one of the biggest attractions, as several assets can be added to the same compound. We have isolated compounds on the market, and the advantage of manipulation is that we can formulate them together, which reduces the cost for the patient. The advantages are not limited to good value for money. With the compound we can adapt the administration, as we have many pharmaceutical forms such as orodispersible film, transdermal patch and gel, collagen gum, functional chocolates, vaginal films, in addition to capsules, sachets and tablets”. Another highlight is personalization, which has made manipulation increasingly sought after. “It is done according to the patient’s needs and the way they best adapt. Those who have not yet sought this treatment are due to lack of knowledge, because we can make medications and supplements according to the body’s needs”, he concludes.
