He didn’t do what he did exactly in secret. Everyone saw the consequences, but only the Judiciary in its institutional expertise and, admittedly, the minister with his police experience — he was Secretary of Public Security in São Paulo —, had the overall vision from the beginning.
Now it comes to connecting the dots in a detailed report on the elaboration, at the heart of the previous government, of a plan to annul the results of the elections, prevent Lula from taking office, dominate the three Powers and continue to command the country against the will of the majority, expressed at the polls.
Many important people also saw it and pretended they didn’t see it. Case of parliamentarians from the government base, the command of the and members of the presidential team who did not directly conspire, but were close enough to observe and even witness what was happening.
They did not commit the crimes attributed to them, but they were spectators who could be said to have engaged through omission. The Legislature did not show an active demonstration of agreement, but seemed indifferent in its contentment at having received free access to the Union’s coffers from the head of the nation.
Deputies and senators indulged in the abusive handling of amendments, while Bolsonaro has been busy devising an illicit plot since 2019 in order to protect himself from possible defeat in his re-election attempt in the future.
He mobilized militancy with his playpen activism and indoors he preached uprising. On the internet, on radio and television, its followers reverberated the speech of demoralizing the voting system and discrediting the Federal Supreme Court, then already detected as the first enemy to be slaughtered.
A part of the plot is recorded and released. The other, broader one, was revealed in the investigations. Once the active accomplices are caught, the passive accomplices cannot say that the gypsy deceived them and, even far from the reach of Justice, they will need to sleep with such noise on their consciences. That is, of course, if they have any scruples.
