The Navy released a video questioning whether there are “privileges” in the body, after being targeted in President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva’s (PT) spending cut package.
The government presented the package last week. is to establish a minimum age for special retirement from the Armed Forces, in addition to ending other rules classified by the economic team as “privileges”.

The Navy leadership had previously released a statement questioning the minimum age for the paid reserve proposed by the government, according to the Estadão revealed. The package provides for a minimum age of 55 years. Currently, the criteria is only based on length of service, 35 years.
