There is an organized group that inspects the terrain near the Druzhba gas or oil pipeline in both Slovakia and Hungary.
On Monday, the Hungarian government, in response to reports from Slovakia about indications of preparations for a terrorist attack on an oil or gas pipeline in Slovakia or Hungary, stated that it had taken the necessary measures. The correspondent of TASR in Budapest informs about this with reference to the blikk.hu server.
“Hungary is in constant contact with the Slovak authorities and in this situation we have taken the necessary measures,” the Government Information Center (KTK) told the server when asked if the cabinet plans to tighten and expand the control and protection of gas and oil pipelines in Hungary.
In the territory of eastern Slovakia, activities were recorded that indicate the possible preparation of a terrorist attack on critical infrastructure. Minister of the Interior Matúš Šutaj Eštok stated this in the STVR talk show Sobotné dialogy.
He pointed out that according to intelligence information, there is an organized group that inspects the terrain near the Družba gas or oil pipeline, not only in Slovakia, but also in Hungary. The member of the National Council of the SR for the opposition SaS, Juraj Krúpa, perceives the situation as an attempt to show the public that activities are being carried out to protect critical infrastructure.
