Anthurium is a magnificent flower that, with proper care, will bloom even in winter. Anthurium flowers are impressive, red and perfectly decorate rooms for Christmas. This plant has many names. In Poland, it is often called mother-in-law’s tongue or flamingo flower. Naturally, anthurium comes from Costa Rica and Guatemala. It is a tropical plant that needs appropriate support in our climate. In order for it to bloom in winter, it must be additionally nourished. In this way, the flower will receive the dose of nutrients it needs. This will cause the anthurium to shower with flowers. To prepare it, you need cinnamon. Many people do not realize that cinnamon has a wide range of uses in plant care. It is rich in nitrogen, which stimulates plants to flower. Cinnamon also contains magnesium and phosphorus, which strengthen the plant and stimulate growth processes. Just add 1 tablespoon of cinnamon to water and mix thoroughly. Homemade anthurium conditioner is ready. Water the flower with it once a month. You will quickly notice the first effects, and the anthurium will be covered with colorful flowers.

How to care for anthurium in winter?

like any tropical plant, it does not tolerate Polish winters well. As a potted flower, it suffers most from dry air. Turned on heaters and dry air can effectively destroy anthurium. In winter, place the flower far from radiators and ensure proper air humidification. Don’t forget about watering. The earth should be constantly moist. The anthurium pot should be placed in a place with regular access to sunlight. However, they cannot be too intense. A position with diffused light will work best. The optimal temperature for the plant’s growth and flowering is 20 degrees Celsius.
