Parliament opposes martial law in South Korea

In South Korea, parliament voted against the martial law unexpectedly declared by President Yoon Suk Yeol on Tuesday. In a vote late Tuesday evening (local time), the chamber called for martial law to be lifted, as seen live on television. 190 of the 300 MPs were present and all voted for the move. However, the situation remains unclear.
