Bolzano/Innsbruck – A study coordinated by Eurac Research in Bolzano has shown a drastic decrease in snowfall in the Alps. Accordingly, a third less snow fell between 1920 and 2020, the research institute announced on Tuesday. A significant decrease has been recorded since the 1980s, “which coincides with an equally significant increase in temperature,” said study author and environmental meteorologist Michele Bozzoli.
