The FPÖ and ÖVP in Styria will begin coalition negotiations on Tuesday with a “cash collapse” in order to examine the country’s financial scope for action. The two parties announced this on Monday. The central content for the future government program should be developed in so-called topic clusters by December 12th. The new state government election is also scheduled for the constituent session of the new state parliament on December 18th. If the talks are successful, then five federal states, including Upper Austria, Lower Austria, Salzburg and Vorarlberg, will be governed by the ÖVP and FPÖ – with the People’s Party in Styria being the junior partner.
