Ukraine conducted a test of new missiles of domestic production, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced on Tuesday. TASR informs about it according to a Reuters report.
In a post on the Telegram network, the Ukrainian leader wrote that the army informed him about the missile test. “We can thank our Ukrainian missile developers. We are speeding up production,” he added, but did not give any details about the new missiles.
He also wrote in the post that he met with Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko and Air Force Commander Anatoly Kryvonozhko and they discussed on the protection of energy equipment and restoration works.
Zelenskyi said in August that Ukraine conducted the first test of a ballistic missile of domestic production. He did not want to announce further details at that time either.
Ukraine has been resisting the Russian invasion for 33 months. At the same time increases domestic production of weapons and ammunition in an effort to speed up their delivery to the battlefield and reduce its dependence on supplies from Western allies.
