The executive secretary of the Ministry of Finance, Dario Duriganstated that the government supports the project that was sanctioned by President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) in relation to the new rules for the distribution and execution of parliamentary amendments.
The statements were made this Tuesday (3), but with new demands, in addition to the agreed project.
“What I have said about the amendments is that the government made an agreement with Congress, after speaking with the Supreme Court, about PLP 175, which has already been sanctioned by the president. So, from the point of view of the agreement on the amendments, what was sanctioned by the president is what the government has supported, in discussions with the Supreme Court and with Congress”, he stated.

Durigan spoke to journalists after a meeting with the government leader in the Chamber, José Guimarães (PT-CE), and with deputy leaders from the base, to discuss the fiscal package. At the time, the secretary said he had made an appeal to the deputy leaders so that the measures could be voted on this year in the National Congress.
Durigan also stated that, in principle, he plans to meet with other benches to discuss the projects sent by the government on the topic. “I am available these days to speak to anyone, with parliamentarians, with everyone”, he said.
Durigan arrived at the leadership office around 10 a.m. and left the meeting at 12:30 p.m. Then, the Finance Secretary entered the office of the leader of União Brasil, Efraim Filho (PB). He also said that he intends to meet the tax reform rapporteur in the Senate, Eduardo Braga (MDB-AM).
