This Wednesday (4), a request for inclusion of the matter outside the agenda was approved by the committee, presented by deputy Paulo Bilynskyj (PL-SP).

This device allows proposals that were not scheduled to be considered by the board to be included on the day’s agenda.

The request was approved by 36 votes, against 25. Afterwards, the project rapporteur, José Medeiros (PL-PA), read his report, officializing the beginning of the discussion on the topic, but then a request for a collective view was made , which suspends the debate in that session.

Previously, on Monday (2), a public hearing was held in the Chamber on this project. The minister of the STF (Supreme Federal Court), Nunes Marques, stated that he was against the proposal for a printed vote.

The text had already been debated at the CCJ in 2023, but then it did not move forward.

The report proposed by José Medeiros defines that, after casting their vote in the electronic ballot box, the voter must also register their vote on a physical medium, which will be stored and sealed.

The project then provides that parties can request a recount of votes, by physical or digital means, 48 hours after the end of voting.
