In this round of the Brazilian Championship, Corinthians, Bahia and Cruzeiro can define, or at least have an idea, of what their paths will be to try for the dream place in the Copa Libertadores.
In fact, there are teams like Corinthians that can even receive a little help from rivals, like Palmeiras.

Is Corinthians already in the Libertadores? How does Palmeiras help?
After the recent victory against Bahia, 3-0, Corinthians can only count on a positive result from Palmeiras to secure their place in the Libertadores in this round.
This is because on Wednesday night (4/12), Palmeiras will face Cruzeiro, one of Corinthians’ concerns when talking about the place in the pre-Libertadores. If Palmeiras beats the team, which has 49 points – four less than Corinthians -, Timão’s path will be easier.
If Cruzeiro draws with Palmeiras, Corinthians would need, at least, a draw with Grêmio in the last round of the competition. If they lose this last round, then they would have to hope for Cruzeiro and Bahia to lose in the last round.
If Palmeiras wins, Corinthians needs a draw against Grêmio, but without rooting for the other teams to lose, for example.

What does Cruzeiro need for a place in the Libertadores?
This Wednesday (4/12), victory against Palmeiras is almost an obligation for Cruzeiro to make its path easier thinking about the continental.
If Cruzeiro wins, the team will reach 52 points and return to the classification area for the Libertadores. With this, the club will only depend on itself in the final round.
If they draw or lose, they need to hope for Corinthians and Bahia to at least lose. Thus, they settle more calmly in the last round, against Juventude. In this case, if they lose, they must beat Juventude in the final round and count on a negative result from Bahia.

What does Bahia need for a place in the Libertadores?
In eighth place and with three points less than Corinthians, they would need to beat Atlético-GO in the last round, in addition to counting on Cruzeiro and Corinthians.
In this case, if both lose, the place is guaranteed even more easily for Rogério Ceni’s team.
