The Minister of Cities, Jader Filho (MDB)said this Wednesday (4) that the Minha Casa, Minha Vida program will not be affected by the federal government’s spending cut package and that the resources are guaranteed.
“We have to be responsible with the issue of federal spending. In this we will move forward, without bringing any type of insecurity or uncertainty to the program Minha Casa, Minha Vida, which obviously has guaranteed resources”, highlighted Jader, when participating in an interview with radio stations during the program Good morning, Ministerproduced by Brazilian Communications Company (EBC).
Regarding the package, the minister said that he thinks “it is extremely important for the federal government to signal that they have fiscal responsibility, that they are paying close attention to the issue of public accounts”. “This is one of the topics that President Lula has debated the most”, he observed.

According to Jader, the department currently accounts for 1.175 million housing units contracted through Minha Casa, Minha Vida. The goal established by the federal government and the president himself Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) is to reach the 2 million mark. “The program is very strengthened, it has made significant progress on all fronts,” he stated.
