The Valencian PP in the face of Vox’s breakup of budget negotiations: “The situation of the Valencian Community deserves an exception”
The Valencian PP wants Vox in the Valencian Community to make an exception to the decision of the party leadership led by Santiago Abascal to break off negotiations to approve the regional budgets. Vox’s votes (13 seats) are necessary for the PP to carry out the accounts, given that they have 40 deputies and the majority is 50, and the PSPV-PSOE’s position of supporting the budgets happens because President Carlos Mazón , be dismissed or terminated. Compromís has never budged from its request for the resignation of the head of the Consell.
The parliamentary spokesperson of the PP, Juanfran Pérez Llorca, has stated in this regard: “The budgets of the Valencian Community for this year are the most important in all of Spain after what we have suffered in this land with the dana. And, therefore, general measures adopted by any party for regional budgets are not very logical to apply here. But I think that the situation in the Valencian Community deserves exceptions to what Vox is setting at the national level. The first thing is reconstruction, and the rest is political tactics.”
“In any case, we are now focused on other issues of reconstruction. When the Consell presents the bill, which will be very focused on recovery, the negotiation process with the parliamentary groups will begin,” he added.
