President of the Chamber stated that the STF’s decision that released payment of amendments, but imposed conditions, “generated unrest” in Congress
The president of the Chamber of Deputies, Arthur Lira (PP-AL) criticized this Wednesday the government’s political articulation in Congress, but assured that the fiscal package to cut spending sent by the Ministry of Finance will be approved by the House “this week or in the other.”
According to Lira, the government does not currently “even” have the votes in the Chamber to approve the urgent processing of the measures that make up the fiscal package, but the House is committed to approving the matters due to their importance for preserving the fiscal framework.
According to him, there are a number of deputies who defend tougher cuts than those predicted by the economic team.
