St. Pölten – Lower Austria’s ski areas are about to start the season. It starts on Friday at Hochkar, but according to the announcement only some of the facilities are open. The Semmering Hirschenkogel follows on Saturday without night operations for the time being. “Wind and warm temperatures placed great demands on our technical snowmaking,” said Karl Weber, Managing Director of Hochkar & Ötscher Tourismus GmbH. The start in Lackenhof am Ötscher has been postponed to December 14th due to the snow.
