The Annual Budget Law project is expected to be voted on in the plenary on December 13, 2024, after analysis of the report in committee
The CMO (Mixed Committee on Plans, Public Budgets and Inspection) of Congress published this Tuesday (Dec 3, 2024) changes to the analysis schedule of the (2025 Annual Budget Law Project). The expectation is that the vote in the Congress plenary will take place on December 13, 2024, one day after the analysis of the general report in the collegiate.
The general rapporteur of the 2025 Budget is the senator (PSD-BA). The CMO is chaired by the deputy (PP-PI).

Ploa a sum of R$5.87 trillion for 2025. The Budget estimates all government revenues and expenses for the following year.
The budget piece aims to bring the primary deficit to zero next year. In April, the economic team decided established by law for 2025.
As a result, it went from a primary surplus of 0.5% of GDP (Gross Domestic Product) for a result in which revenues and expenses remain at the same level, without considering the payment of interest on public debt. There is also a deficit tolerance margin of 0.25%.
The Ploa is prepared by the federal government and sent by August 31st of the year prior to its validity. Congress has until December 22nd to vote and return the text to the Executive for sanction.
LDO
It is expected that the CMO will continue on Wednesday (Dec 4), at 10:30 am, voting on the preliminary opinion with amendments to the LDO (Budget Guidelines Law) 2025.
