The rapporteur of consumption tax reform in the Senate, Senator Eduardo Braga (MDB-AM), stated on Tuesday (3) that he is working to present his report on the first regulatory project to the House Constitution and Justice Committee in this Wednesday’s session (4) .
“We are trying to have the report delivered tomorrow, but we still have some issues to be overcome by the morning,” Braga said in an interview with journalists at the Ministry of Finance, after meeting with the minister of the portfolio, Fernando Haddad.
The rapporteur did not mention the points to be resolved so as not to create “speculation”, but said that several issues have already been overcome.

Asked about an extraordinary vote on the proposal, Braga stated that he is not considering this possibility, but stated that the voting schedule in the CCJ and in the plenary is in charge of the president of the commission, Davi Alcolumbre (União-AL), and the Senate, Rodrigo Pacheco (PSD-MG).
Congress has three weeks before the parliamentary recess. The return will be on February 1st, under a new command of both Houses. Arthur Lira (PP-AL) leaves the head of the Chamber at the end of January, as does Pacheco.
