This Thursday (5), the physical installations of two power plants with enough power to make the organization’s headquarters self-sufficient will be handed over, in an event that is part of the celebrations of Abin’s 25th anniversary, celebrated in December.

The expectation is that tests will be carried out this month so that it can go into operation at the beginning of 2025. The implementation of the photovoltaic plant, in the agency’s headquarters complex in Brasília, will have a total power of 1,300.2 kWp (kilowatt-peak/hour) with two plants. In the first year, there is an estimated saving of R$1.3 million.

With its inauguration, the agency will be the first body of the Presidency to have this structure. The calculation is that the production of 308.65 tons of carbon dioxide per year will be avoided.

Also this Thursday, the agency’s Sustainable Logistics Master Plan will be signed, which will cover the 2025-2026 biennium. The objective is for hiring to follow sustainability criteria and practices.
