According to Vale, protesters prevented the passenger train from circulating, directly impacting more than 2,000 people, in addition to the distribution of fuel to the northern region of the country.
Vale reported this Thursday (5) that the Carajás Railway (EFC) was released around 6 pm on Wednesday (4), in compliance with a court decision, after dialogue with the protesters who occupied the railway .
The road had been closed by members of the MST/PA since the early hours of last Tuesday (3).
According to the company’s press office, the protesters prevented the passenger train from circulating, directly impacting more than 2,000 people, who had their trips cancelled, in addition to the distribution of fuel to the northern region of the country.

The resumption of passenger train travel will take place on Friday (6), departing from Parauapebas (PA) heading to São Luís (MA).
