Government and Congress must define the names by Friday (6), with the expectation that the names mentioned will already be discussed in thematic commissions next Wednesday (11).

The hearings are expected to take place on the same day that the CCJ (Constitution and Justice Commission) must analyze names for the CNJ (National Council of Justice) and the CNMP (National Council of the Public Ministry). If approved, the nominees still need the approval of the plenary.

The government addressed the matter in a meeting held this Tuesday (3). The minister (Civil House) was responsible for sending names to the Senate that reached a consensus between the government and senators.

According to the agreement that is being constructed, there will be a reconciliation of names between the government, ministers and Congress. When there is more than one name for a vacancy, a consensus will be sought for the nomination.

The impasse between the government and Congress has left, to date, 18 vacancies open in regulatory agencies. Favorite to succeed in command of the Senate, (União-AP) wanted to nominate half of the open vacancies, but the government resisted.

In the last government, (PL) opened the possibility for senators to make appointments to regulatory agencies. The president of the Senate at the beginning of that government was Alcolumbre. The government is now seeking to regain control over nominations.
