With the result, Flamengo indirectly favored rival Fluminense. Criciúma is now at risk of playing in Series B depending on the results of the round. In the table, Rubro-Negro has 69 points and is in third place. Criciúma has 38 and dropped to 17th place.

The atmosphere between the two teams was completely different from the first minutes. Criciúma saw it as one of the games of a lifetime, fighting for Series A, while Flamengo had a more relaxed and calm posture.
