The French government has announced the acceleration of production of AASM Hammer guided bombs with the main objective of supporting Ukraine, as well as strengthening its own national reserves. The former minister and vice president of the French Senate, Hélène Conway-Mouret, relayed the news and added that “the amounts requested and delivered remain far from the levels necessary for high-intensity conflicts and the growing demands of Ukraine.”
Negotiations to deliver this type of weaponry to Ukraine began in France at the end of 2023. At the beginning of 2024, French Defense Minister Sébastien Lecornu announced that shipments of SCAP-EG cruise missile systems and bombs had already begun. AASM precision.
