Of all the surfaces in the kitchen, knowing how to clean the stove is perhaps the most important because it’s the area that’s probably most prone to spills, splatters, and stains. We will show you simple ways to remove them.

Cleaning the stove every week takes a little more work. Whether you have a glass induction hob or a gas stove, we’ll show you the best cleaning method that works wonders and shines better than using chemical cleaners.

Hydrogen peroxide and baking soda

Few other cleaning products are as effective. Remove all residues from the stove with a brush and dispose of them. Sprinkle the entire surface with baking soda and then sprinkle it with peroxide. Watch as the peroxide fizzes and destroys baked-on dirt. After removing stains, simply rinse and dry. This method always works and the stove shines beautifully.

Soap and water

For this method, remove the electric burners from the stove and use a cloth and a small amount of mild hand soap and water to rinse off any residue. For cooked food residue that won’t come off, mix a thick paste of equal parts baking soda and water and apply it to the problem area. After approximately 20 minutes, scrub and rinse the burner. Put the burner back in after it has completely dried.

Baking soda and lemon

Lemons have natural degreasing properties and baking soda has natural antibacterial properties. Baking soda contains very fine particles that help remove baked-on stains, but are gentle enough not to scratch the glass. Simply sprinkle a handful of baking soda on the glass cooktop. Then rub the surface with a slice of lemon. Wipe the surface with a damp cloth to remove any remaining baking soda particles and lemon pulp.
