The American skiing star and sports colleague of our Petra Vlhová dares to do the most difficult things. Most recently, Slovak is also among them, which has already caused problems for many foreigners. Will Mikaela Shiffrin be an exception? That’s what Slovak and foreign fans must have asked when she published a video titled: Slovak lessons with Petra.
In her video on Instagram, Shiffrin asks her which Slovak word is the most difficult to pronounce. “Our language is quite difficult,” said Petra and they went on to pronounce her first and last name. But then they returned to the topic of the most difficult pronunciation. “Okay, try: ball in the hole,” she told her American colleague Petra.
During the attempts, Mikaela got in trouble and Petra had to explain to her what it meant. When she said the word blueberry, the American skier burst out laughing and had to practice it. After a while, however, she repeated it perfectly! “Thank you for teaching me Slovak, Petra. Do you think we should start a podcast?” Shiffrin did not hide her enthusiasm on the social network. Fans of both women immediately responded that it was funny and amused them. You can find the VIDEO at the beginning of the article.
Funny moments were the real thing that Vlhova was definitely missing. She recently announced that she and her partner Michal Kyselic said goodbye after years. She wrote about it on a social network. “Despite the fact that for 5 years we have protected our privacy as much as possible, we would like to publicly announce something that is not at all easy for either of us to write and it is even more difficult to find the right words, but it’s been a few weeks since we’ve been a couple,” stated Petra.
Vlhová is currently recovering from her injured knee, but she would like to return to the slopes soon. During the giant slalom of the World Cup in Jasná (January 20), she tore the anterior cruciate ligament in her knee and had to undergo surgery.
