Striker Wesley’s father, Hildebrando dos Santos Silva, died on Wednesday night (4), after Internacional’s match against Botafogo, after suffering a motorcycle accidentaccording to information from the press office.
Inter’s management was notified during coach Roger Machado’s press conference in the 37th round of the Brazilian Championship.
Due to the death of the player’s family member, Colorado did not conduct post-game interviews.
Inter released a brief statement on the social network X about the fatality:
“It is with deep regret that Internacional receives the news of the passing of Hildebrando dos Santos Silva, father of our striker Wesley. We wish a lot of strength to all friends and family”, said the club.

Due to the moment of mourning, Wesley is not expected to face Fortaleza, on Sunday (8), for the 38th and final round of the Brasileirão.
