The will transfer R$27.8 million to the government for the purchase of para, after the state has the proposal approved in a notice released by the National Public Security Secretariat.

The resources will be used by the (Republican) government to contract an additional 2,057 devices, reaching a total of 14,057 cameras, which will represent a 38% growth in .

The notice provides for the release of resources for proposals in line with federal guidelines established by ordinance. São Paulo came first in the category of states with a police force of more than 20 thousand agents, surpassing Bahia, which finished second, and Rio de Janeiro, third.

For the São Paulo government, the approval of the notice by the Ministry of Justice shows that the standard of the cameras used complies with federal government standards.

In May, the Minister (Justice and Public Security) stated that states, including São Paulo, wanted resources to place cameras on police uniforms.

The federal guideline for the use of police body cameras released by the Ministry of Justice provides that the equipment must be switched on during operations, overt actions and in contact with prisoners.

The preliminary result came out on the same day that the governor stated that he had been a candidate for office since the period in which he was a candidate.

The statements were made two days after the release of images of one, in a case that added up to one.
