The National Electric Energy Agency (Aneel) reported this Thursday (5) that the expansion of the Brazilian electricity matrix was 10,306 megawatts (MW) in the accumulated period from January to November this year, exceeding the target set for 2024 – 10,106 megawatts (MW) in supervised power. The highlights are photovoltaic and wind solar sources. As of December 2, Brazil had 207,760 MW of supervised power.
With the result of November and the expectation for December, the end of the year should record a cut.
The highest annual growth ever recorded by Aneel was 10,324 MW in 2023. In November, 26 new plants were added, including 18 solar photovoltaic plants, five wind plants, one thermoelectric plant and two small hydroelectric plants.
