Mike Tyson sued for abandoning deal to fight Jake Paul

Mike Tyson is being sued in a London court for almost 1.5 million euros (R$9.6 million) for allegedly breaking an agreement to promote a gambling company in order to fight the former influencer who Jake Paul became a fighter.

Medier, a Cyprus-registered company that promotes the online casino, and betting company Rabona, are suing the former heavyweight champion and his company Tyrannic for allegedly reneging on the deal, which was reached in January.

The lawsuit, filed in London’s High Court in October, says it terminated the agreement in March — the same day it was announced — because Medier breached the agreement.

Medier’s lawyers, however, argue that his actions did not constitute a breach of the agreement and that Tyson’s breach of contract caused the company losses of around 1.46 million euros (R$9.3 million).

“The real reason for Mr. Tyson and Tyrannic’s hasty and illegal termination was because Mr. Tyson had reached a deal, , to fight influencer Jake Paul,” the company’s lawyer said in documents made public this Friday. fair (6).

Tyson and Tyrannic have not yet entered a defense in the lawsuit and the boxer was not immediately available for comment.
