The president of , (-MG) celebrated this Friday (6) the agreement between and stated that it elevates interactions between the two blocs to a new “level of development”.
It was announced this Friday, in Montevideo, after 25 years of dialogue between the parties.
Pacheco released a note in which he praised the agreement. “In the various meetings I held throughout my tenure as head of the Federal Senate, with European and South American leaders, I always expressed the support and commitment of the Brazilian Parliament to the implementation of the agreement. The historic pact inaugurates the possibility of aggrandizement of commercial relations between the countries that make up the blocs, elevating interactions to a new level of development”, he says in part.
“The initiative also has the capacity to have a positive impact in other areas to benefit the populations of the countries involved.”
The announcement of the agreement was attended by the presidents (Brazil), (), Luis Lacalle Pou () and Santiago Peña () and also the head of the European Commission, the German one.
