The Minister of the Civil House, , attributed this Thursday (5) to the imbroglio involving parliamentary amendments the tight score in the approval of the first urgent requests for the proposals of the Lula (PT) government’s cost containment package.
Rui Costa admitted that there is “instability” with the issue of parliamentary amendments and “dissatisfaction” in the National Congress
“The vote also reflects instability with the issue of parliamentary amendments, everyone knows that. Until then the amendments were completely blocked and there is parliamentary dissatisfaction with the non-execution of the amendments due to the blocking by court decision”, stated the minister.
“Only this week we had the partial or conditional unblocking of the amendments. So I think the close vote is very much a reflection of that. Let’s intensify the dialogue”, he added.
The statements were made after the opening session of the seminar The Brazilian Reality and the Challenges of the Workers’ Party, which is being organized by the party in Brasília. There will be two days of debates, but the president will not be present.
On Wednesday night (4), the company approved the first urgent requests for two of the Lula government’s projects () — which is racing against time to try to ensure that all proposals are approved by the end of the year.
The complementary bill that submits new expenses to the fiscal framework and the ordinary fine-tooth comb bill in the BPC (Continuous Payment Benefit) were urgently approved. It hasn’t started moving forward yet.
The complementary bill was urgently approved by 260 votes — 257 were needed.
